What a State Rep does
Your State Representative does two jobs at once: writing and voting on state laws in Concord, and serving on the Rockingham County Delegation, which votes on the county budget every year, including funding for the county nursing home, jail, sheriff's department, and courts. The budgets that they vote on also determine both the state and county portion of your tax bill.

New Hampshire State House races are often decided by a handful of votes. In 2022, several NH House primaries were decided by 4 or 5 votes, and one race ended in an exact tie. Races this size are won by a room full of people, not a stadium.
